As part of our ongoing modernization of Admiral Hotel, the transformation has now reached our reception and central lobby — and with it, a striking new centerpiece.

Swedish artist David Svensson (b. 1973) has created The Kingdom of Crystal, an impressive 10 m² landscape of towers built from recycled retro glassware: bowls, plates, vases, lamps and more.

Illuminated from below by a lightbox podium, each sculpture is brought to life as the light enhances the colors, textures and details of the glass. Fragile in its material yet grand in its expression, the installation evokes an exotic, almost science-fiction-like crystal city rising in the heart of Admiral.

We look forward to welcoming you into our newly updated surroundings — and to experiencing this remarkable artwork up close 🎨
