🤫 Looking for lunch or an early dinner? 🤫

Here's a local tip.

A new pop-up called Bird Project has opened in the basement below Alefarm Taproom, right by Dronning Louises Bro, just a short walk from Hotel Nora.
The menu is simple: fried chicken sandwiches and a crispy eggplant version for vegetarians. That's pretty much it.

Only 50 sandwiches are made each day, so if this sounds like your kind of thing, it might be worth heading over a little earlier rather than later.

🎶 Distortion starts today 🎶
It is a little quiet out front right now. Then again, it is raining.
But if Copenhagen feels a bit busier over the next few days, that is probably why.

Distortion starts today and runs through Sunday. Music, events and street parties take place in different parts of the city, and the festival brings a different energy to Copenhagen for a few days.

You may notice it around Nørrebro too. More people out and about, a bit more activity around the lakes, and a city that stays awake a little longer than usual.
Worth knowing if you are heading out this week.

💚 This is what our guests say 💚
We truly appreciate every kind word we receive from our guests. It means a lot to hear about your stay and what you take with you from your time here.

Here is a small selection of what our guests said lately:

“We loved your location, very multicultural with so many good restaurants and thrift and vintage stores.”

“Excellent location, good value for money.”

“Very nice hotel with a lovely roof terrace, good breakfast and friendly staff.”

“The staff was very welcoming and the service level was high. Luggage storage for both early arrival and departure, a free glass of wine at 5 pm. Nice room. Good breakfast.”

“Perfect location, and although the hotel is located on busy Nørrebrogade, it is completely quiet in rooms facing the inner courtyard. Good, large rooms, good beds and nice and clean. Lots of restaurants, cafes and attractions just around the corner. Very friendly staff. All in all, really good "value for money".”

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your experience 💚

🎶 Distortion street festival 3–7 June 2026🎶
Get ready for one of those weeks where Copenhagen changes pace. Distortion is a city festival where music and events move into streets, squares and harbour areas. Music, street parties and events spread out across the city.
Each area has its own energy during the festival, and you will feel it all over town, including around Nørrebro where the city rhythm becomes a bit louder and more alive than usual. There does not seem to be a scheduled street party specifically on Nørrebro in the official programme, but things can always change. You can expect lively street activity and festival energy in the area all week.

👟Lace up with the King 👑
Royal Run brings thousands of people into the streets, not just to race, but to be part of something together. It’s less about fast times and more about taking part, with everything from short one mile routes to longer distances, and music and cheering zones along the way.

All routes start at Kongens Nytorv and finish by Amalienborg, passing places like Marmorkirken and The Royal Theatre along the way. It’s a nice way to see the more classic, royal side of Copenhagen, whether you’re running or just following along from the sidelines. The King himself also takes part, which adds to the occasion.

For guests staying at Hotel Nora, it’s an easy outing into the inner city to catch the start, the finish or just the mood in between. Just note that parts of the city will be busy and some roads closed during the day.

🏃🏽‍♀️Experience Copenhagen Marathon 🏃🏻
Copenhagen Marathon takes place this Sunday, and the route runs right outside Hotel Nora. It’s a festive day in the city, where thousands of runners move through Copenhagen while people line the streets to cheer them on. The route passes the lakes, crosses Dronning Louises Bro and continues through different neighbourhoods, each with its own atmosphere.
On Nørrebrogade, just outside the hotel, you get a close view of the race as it goes by. Expect closed streets in the area and a lively atmosphere around the hotel.

🎶48 Timer is just around the corner🎶
From 8–10 May, Nørrebro turns into one big, local culture festival. It’s all put together by people from the neighbourhood, so the programme is a mix of small concerts, art, talks, food and things you didn’t plan to stumble upon.
It’s the kind of weekend where you don’t need a fixed plan. Walk out the door, follow the music down a side street, step into a courtyard or a small shop and see what’s happening.

If you’re in the area that weekend, you’re already in the middle of it.

🚩International Workers’ Day 🚩
Tomorrow (Friday May 1st) is International Workers’ Day, a long-standing tradition across Denmark and much of Europe. The day goes back more than a century and is still marked with gatherings, speeches and demonstrations about workers’ rights and social issues.

In Copenhagen, the centre of it all is Fælledparken, just a short walk from Nørrebro. From late morning, people start arriving with red flags, banners and coffee in hand. There are political speeches, music and a relaxed, almost festival-like atmosphere.
You’ll notice it beyond the park too. Along Nørrebrogade and by the lakes, groups gather, some places are busier than usual, and there’s a different rhythm to the day. Some locals take time off, others just join in after work.

If you’re curious, it’s an easy day to dip into. Walk towards Fælledparken, follow the sound of speeches and music, or just observe the atmosphere as it moves through the neighborhood.

🥳Nørrebro's own culture festival🥳
Every year, Nørrebro throws a big party. And everyone's invited. is the neighborhood’s very own culture festival, created entirely by local artists, organizations, shops and residents. The streets, parks and squares across Nørrebro come alive with music, art, performances, talks, food experiences and so much more.

What we love about this festival is that it shows you the real Nørrebro. The personal, the nerdy, the unexpected. Last year the programme had 56 events and nearly 20,000 visitors, and 2026 promises to be just as packed.
If you're staying with us that weekend, you're in the perfect spot. Just step outside and let the neighborhood surprise you🥳

💚This is what our guests say💚
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave us a review. It honestly means the world to us.

Here are some of the things our guests said lately:

“Excellent location, close to walking area of old city. The veranda with amazing panoramic view makes your early morning coffee more pleasant. The security decisions make your stay very safe. Nobody can enter hotel or use elevator without special keys. Staff is exceptionally friendly and supportive. In the room there is tea-coffee facilities and bar type refrigerator that is really comfortable.”

“A quiet hotel. Ideally located for exploring the city. Nice restaurants nearby. Great!”

“We had booked an extended weekend at Hotel Nora as we were going to a wedding in St. John's Church just around the corner and had our 3 month old baby with us. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back :-) We had challenges with a cancelled train and had to take the car at the last minute. We were also delayed and would arrive after 8pm. I therefore called the reception when we were on our way. We were greeted by enormous hospitality and the most helpful staff, who both helped us with a solution for parking and late check-in. We also received very good help with various things during our stay and at check-out. Very friendly and flexible staff, thank you :-)”

“Comfortable and modern accommodation in an excellent location.”

Everything was clean and they were very accommodating to our requests.

Thank you for choosing Hotel Nora and for sharing your experience. It means more than you know. We hope to welcome you back soon 🙏
