A neighbourhood market just around the corner🛍️
On Saturday 5 September, .2200, Birkegade and Egegade turn into one big street market.

There will be secondhand finds, vintage clothes, old records and stalls from both locals and shops in the area. The cafés and restaurants are joining in too, and there will be music in the streets throughout the day.

It’s free to visit, family-friendly and only a short walk from Hotel Nora. A good excuse to wander through some of our favourite Nørrebro streets and see what you come home with.

🚶 A car-free Sunday on Nørrebrogade🚶

On Sunday 30 August, Nørrebrogade will be quiet.

From 12:00 to 16:00, the street closes to cars and bikes from Dronning Louises Bro to Nørrebro Station, making room for people instead.

There will be activities for both children and adults, local associations and cultural organisations out in the street, and several thousand pieces of chalk ready for one very long drawing on Nørrebrogade.

If you’re staying at Hotel Nora, you’re right in the middle of it.

💚 This is what our guests say 💚
We are always grateful when guests take the time to share a review of their stay with us. Here are a few of the things they have said recently:

“Central, nice building, good lunch, nice roof terrace, friendly staff.”

“Very neat and clean. Had a lot of room. Really liked it.”

“The property was very clean and very spacious. The rooftop is so lovely, especially at sunset! It is a very quiet hotel. It was nice and cool with the windows open.”

“You can order your own breakfast –which was great– and eat it at the peaceful Hotel Nora rooftop terrace, with a view over Copenhagen. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff.”

“A very enjoyable stay in a great location. Very comfortable beds and friendly helpful staff.”

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience. Your words mean a great deal to our small, family-owned hotel, and we hope to welcome you back to Nørrebro one day.

🎶 A whole street throws a party 🎶
Nansensgade is technically in Copenhagen K, not Nørrebro. But from Hotel Nora, you only need to cross the bridge to get there.

It is a long, relaxed street filled with small shops, cafés and restaurants. And once a year, the entire neighbourhood comes together for Nansensgadefesten, a tradition that has been running for more than 20 years.

For one day, the cars disappear and the street fills with live music, DJs, a local flea market, food, shop finds, performances and a communal long-table dinner. The flea market runs from 10:00 to 17:00, while the street party continues until 22:00.

It is local, lively and very easy to spend a few hours at. A big recommendation from us.

🍎 Copenhagen is setting the table 🍎
From 21–30 August, Copenhagen Cooking brings more than 100 food experiences to restaurants, streets and outdoor spaces across the city.

The programme covers everything from long-table dinners and workshops to tastings, talks, food markets and special restaurant events. You can join the traditional harvest dinner on Frederiksberg Allé, visit the festival square in Kødbyen or find something smaller elsewhere in the city.

This year, the apple takes the leading role, so expect plenty of creative interpretations of one of Denmark’s most familiar ingredients. The festival also welcomes Istria as its guest region, bringing food, wine and flavours from the Adriatic coast to Copenhagen.

Some events are free, while others require a ticket. Our advice is to look through the programme before you get too hungry. With more than 100 options, choosing may take a while.

🥐 A guide to Nørrebro’s bakeries 🥐
Danish baked goods are something you simply have to try while you are here. And no, you do not need to know the difference between a spandauer, a tebirkes and a snegl before you walk into a bakery. Pointing works too.

Nørrebro has plenty of good places to begin. Here are some of our favourites:

🥐 Rondo Bakery

Sjællandsgade 7

🥐 Andersen & Maillard

Nørrebrogade 62

🥐 Collective Bakery

Nørrebrogade 176

🥐 Meyers Bageri

Jægersborggade 9

🥐 Benjikbh
Mjølnerparken 52

🥐 Hart Bageri

Ravnsborggade 1 og Julius Bloms Gade 32

🏳️‍🌈 Copenhagen Pride 2026 🏳️‍🌈
From 8–16 August, Copenhagen Pride fills the city with concerts, talks, community activities, parties, sports, drag bingo, a q***r flea market and much more.

For eight days, Rådhuspladsen becomes Pride Square. It is the main meeting point during the week, with a stage, debate tent, food, drinks, community spaces and events for both children and adults. The square is open to everyone, and you do not need a ticket.

The Pride Parade takes place on Saturday 15 August. It starts at Frederiksberg City Hall at 13:00 and continues through the city to Copenhagen City Hall, with crowds gathering along the route.

On Friday and Saturday evening, you will also find popular street parties around Studiestræde, Lavendelstræde, Slutterigade and Farvergade.

From Hotel Nora, it is easy to cross the bridge and continue into the city centre.

🎶 Hear them before everyone else does 🎶
UHØRT Festival is all about the newest music coming out of Denmark. From 6–8 August, 42 upcoming artists take over the stages on Enghavevej with everything from rock and pop to hip-hop, electronic music and whatever does not fit neatly into a genre.

The festival started back in 2013 with one day, three stages and 26 artists. The Minds of 99 and Baby In Vain were among the names on the programme that first year, which gives you an idea of what might be hiding in this year’s line-up.

🎶 Festival on Blågårds Plads this weekend🎶
Just around the corner from Hotel Nora, Blågårds Plads is getting ready for two days of free music, culture and neighbourhood energy.

Blaagaards Festival is a local nonprofit festival created by people and organisations around the square. Blaagaards Festival is back for its sixth year running, filling the square with free, live music across two days.

No tickets required. It is an open, local event, the kind Nørrebro does especially well in summer.

For guests at Hotel Nora, it’s an easy stroll from the hotel and a good way to see a very local side of Copenhagen.

💚This is what our guests say💚
We always love reading your reviews. This it what our guests said lately:

“The staff were very good, happy, helpful and always polite. Provided information on best way to go to land marks, transport etc. Thank you very much”

“A very good hotel with excellent value for money. The room was large and bright, with half of it furnished as a living area and two large windows overlooking Nørrebrogade. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very functional, with a nice shower. The staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. We particularly appreciated the system implemented by the Hotel Nora for breakfast, which allowed us to choose the food and drinks we wanted, thus reducing waste. We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next trip to Copenhagen.”

“The rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable. The staff was really friendly, kind, and helpful.”

“Excellent B&B hotel for tourist visit. Verging on ‘boutique’. Good location and pleasant rooftop bar.”

“Good position and very nice rooftop deck”

Thank you for staying with us. We at looking forward to seeing you again💚
