Meet AimĂ©, Night Shift Barceptionist at Comfort Hotel Helsinki Airport đ
AimĂ©âs journey as a Barceptionist began in 2022. When a brand-new Comfort Hotel opened at Helsinki Airport in 2024, she didnât hesitate to apply.
She initially worked day shifts, but quickly discovered that early mornings werenât quite her thing. Then she tried the night shift and found exactly where she belonged. For AimĂ©, genuine hospitality is about much more than simply doing your job.
âIt requires flexibility, teamwork and being yourself without compromising professionalism. Taking genuine care of guests isnât just about greeting them with a smile. It starts with having a supportive culture behind the scenes.â
She describes a close-knit team that stays longer when someone needs help, communicates openly and makes even the busiest nights feel manageable. They support one another and never let anyone face a challenge alone.
âWhat I love about working with people is that every day is different. I enjoy chatting with guests, meeting their furry companions and even laughing together when a language barrier leads to creative hand gestures and silly Google translations.â
Outside of work, Aimé has a creative side. She grew up playing the violin, has danced everything from hip-hop to K-pop and expresses her deepest thoughts through poetry.
But the person who means the most to her is her little sister, Arcenciel, French for rainbow.
âShe came into my life like a rainbow after a storm. She has supported me through everything, from my final exams and studies in hotel management to my first steps with Strawberry. She is my best friend, my biggest supporter and my whole world.â
And AimĂ©âs Helsinki recommendation? Dinner and drinks at Brasserie NĂČr, overlooking Helsinki Airport from the 12th floor, followed by a visit to Suomenlinna, Oodi Library or the Old Market Hall.
Her General Manager, Jorma recently shared a moment that perfectly captures AimĂ©âs care:
âWhen an elderly guest suffered a medical emergency, AimĂ© provided first aid and called an ambulance. She later arranged transport for his wife and visited them at the hospital with clean clothes and snacks. Her compassion and dedication went far beyond what anyone could expect.â
Weâre so happy that the night shift brought you to exactly where you belong, AimĂ©. đ
