NOORVERK is a global online marketplace for nordic designers and craftsmen who create handmade design items, art and crafts. We give the artisans the opportunity to focus on their creativity and create unique handmade items for thoughtful consumers all over the world. We give the buyers the opportunity to discover these unique items and learn more about the materials, processes, ideas and the people behind it. NOORVERK was founded in Copenhagen in 2015 by Trine Maymann and Niklas Blangsted. They love design, handcrafted unique products, the nordic countries, the four seasons, northern light, bikes all over the streets, vikings, the smell of wood, leather, clay and paint. The country side. Small capitals. The mountains. The seaside. Wooden cabins in the forrest. And being part of the happiest people in the world and the only nation with a word for ‘hygge’. The founders of NOORVERK are passionate about nordic handmade art, crafts and design and the artisans behind them. And the mission for NOORVERK is to make it easier for the nordic artisans to make a living from what they love doing and to let the world discover the many unique little wonders that are created all over the nordic countries by hand by very talented and dedicated craftsmen and women.
