We finally found a bright sunny weather window to take down the yurt. It's had a good Summer with many happy customers and survived some grim stormy June and September days.
Luckily Sammy and Jonas are now tall and strong, so it all went smoothly with no calamities!

A rare hot day at the start of Stavehøl's busy guest time. Our yurt is back in place and our 2 lotus Belle's are waiting for their first guests. Stargazer now sits in a sunny spot at the top of the meadow on a brand new platform while the shady glade down by the stream is now left to nature. We still have some unbooked nights in August if you'd like to experience our beauty and peace.

Stavehøl has a Stargazer Lotus Belle this year to replace our storm damaged yurt. It's looking bright and beautiful in the meadow under bright blue skies. Looking forward to sharing it with our first Summer guests arriving this weekend.
There's still a few nights available in June and August if you'd like a taste of the most reasonably priced and oldest glamping site in Denmark.

Spring at Stavehøl has been full of life and colour. With no stormy weather the gorgeous cherry blossoms luckily lingered for a week longer than normal. The glade's meadow becomes richer every year with more orchid spikes and clumps of cowslips.
After weeks of dry weather the sodden muddy meadows of Winter are a distant memory, and now it is just a few short weeks till the lotus belle tents are erected and we welcome Summer guests again.

Winter wonderland time at Stavehøl. Beautiful of course but always a logistical challenge for guests and us. Over the years we've finally learnt our lesson and at the first flurries we park our car next to a road that will be ploughed.

Last week the strongest Summer storm in over 130 years hit Bornholm. Fierce 90 km/h gusts nearly shoved the yurt off it's platform while torrential rains turned our dry stream bed into a raging torrent. Somehow the Lotus Belle tents survived the pummelling with some hasty and frequent guy rope re-pegging - though the rain covers were ripped to shreds. As a bonus our August guests finally get to see Bornholm's waterfalls in full flow!
