Hindsgavl Festival er en af Europas førende internationale klassiske musikfestivaler. Festivalen finder sted hver juli i et koncentreret forløb med ca. 16 koncerter på otte koncertdage i de smukke omgivelser på Hindsgavl Slot ved Middelfart. Her præsenteres i tre koncertserier en lang række verdensstjerner, unge talenter og nyeste trends inden for klassisk kompositionsmusik. Festivalen skal være f

or alle - også ikke-kyndige. Festivalen udvikler derfor en ny formidlingsform af klassisk musik med fællesskabet i centrum. De mange klassiske verdensstjerner samt en del af publikum bor på slottet i typisk to til fire dage ad gangen og således opstår en helhedsoplevelse med foredrag, kunstnermøder, åbne prøver, måltider samt andre sociale arrangementer.

The final day of Hindsgavl Festival 2026 arrived with beautiful sunshine. ☀️🎻🌳
Anna Jalving ( ) and Matthew Grouse ( ) opened the day with BUMPS, followed by Antoine Tamestit and Alexandra Preucil ( ) in a program of Bartók and Bach. To close this year’s festival, Kristian Bezuidenhout ( ) returned for his second appearance of the week, joining the Freiburger Barockorchester ( ) for an evening of Mozart and Bach on an original 1815 Lagrassa fortepiano. Afterwards, musicians and guests went down to the dock for a well-deserved celebratory drink 🥂

The final days of Hindsgavl Festival are here, but the castle is as full of life as ever. 🎻💛🎹
Musicians, guests, rehearsals, conversations—and plenty more music still to come. Yesterday, Olga Pashchenko ( ) returned to the stage, this time with an all-Beethoven program and a beautiful performance on a copy of an 1824 Graf fortepiano. Later, Anna Colom ( ) and Concerto 1700 ( ) brought Spanish Baroque and flamenco together in the evening concert. 🎙️💃🥁

Getting into the final stretch of Hindsgavl Festival. 🎻✨
Another rainy day, and another good reason to enjoy the warmth of the castle. Ensemble Ascolta ( ) opened the afternoon with Christian Winther Christensen’s Children’s Songs, before Anna Prohaska ( ) and Eric Schneider closed the day with a touching programme spanning four centuries of songs inspired by war, memory, and loss. ❤️‍🩹

Sunday was another day of firsts at Hindsgavl Festival. 🧡
Theatre of Voices ( ) brought the festival’s first vocal ensemble to the stage, while Kristian Bezuidenhout ( ) returned to Hindsgavl with a unique all-Schubert programme, performed on a remarkable copy of an 1824 Graf fortepiano, allowing audiences to hear a sound world much closer to the one Schubert had in mind. Lastly, Anna Colom ( ) and Víctor Franco ( ) brought flamenco to Hindsgavl for the very first time in a late-night concert, leaving the audience asking for more long after the scheduled ending. 💃🎶🌙

Saturday marked the halfway point of Hindsgavl Festival. ✨🥂
Quatuor Agate (.agate ) and Trio con Brio Copenhagen ( ) were met with enthusiastic applause from a full house. Composer Rune Glerup ( ) was also present to hear his Piano Trio No. 2, which he wrote for the trio.
Behind the scenes, while some enjoyed the sun and the sea, a hammerklavier and a fortepiano arrived at the castle, ready for the next concerts. 🎹🎶

Friday was another full day at Hindsgavl Festival, featuring three concerts. 🎶
Yana Kleyn ( ) and Tatiana Larionova ( ) opened the day with songs by Mussorgsky and Shostakovich, alongside piano works by Rachmaninov. Violinist Cosima Soulez Larivière ( ), violist Sào Soulez Larivière (.lariviere_violist ), and cellist Bruno Philippe ( ) followed with an afternoon of string trios. Pianist Olga Pashchenko ( ) then returned to Hindsgavl to introduce silent cinema to the festival for the very first time with a live accompaniment to Murnau’s Faust (1926), celebrating the film’s 100th anniversary. 🎬🎹

Thursday brought a typical Danish summer day at Hindsgavl. ☔️☀️🍃
Rain, sunshine, and three wonderful concerts with familiar festival faces. Rudersdal Kammersolister ( ) opened the day, Martin Helmchen ( ) returned to the stage —this time alongside cellist Marie-Elisabeth Hecker ( ) — and violist Sào Soulez Larivière (.lariviere_violist ) closed the evening with a late-night Ligeti recital. 🎻🎶
