Look at this magical event🌟. I just love this place😍
In Millinge, in the heart of South Funen, village residents open their doors to one another every day in December – from 4:00 to 5:00 pm – during The Living Advent Calendar. Not a commercial event, but pure closeness: sharing their homes , a conversation, a smile, a warm drink. Simply being together.
This initiative is about much more than Christmas. It is about seeing one another, breaking loneliness, and bringing light into the dark months. Every day, you are welcome in someone’s home in our lovely community. We get to know each other. Greet old friends and welcome new. It’s a new initiative but so Powerful and a lovely tradition to start. Already to 10 houses have signed up for next year😍🙏🏽
Local artists and community members have contributed to the beautifully hand-painted calendar signs you encounter throughout the village – small works of art along the road, each with its own story.
On 21 December, I will have the joy of being a host myself in our 300-year-old craftsman’s house, now a B&B, and I am truly looking forward to it. I am grateful for this warm and caring community and proud to share this special corner of South Funen with my guests – especially in winter: a time for closeness and cosiness.
