Got a really sweet present from Italian guests who stayed last night. It's a mala beads necklace, made by them as a thank you for the wonderful stay they had here. They enjoyed the calmness, the stars, sitting around the campfire and just enjoying life.

When you arrive Gyrupcamp in April/May changes are the grass will not been mowed at our property. During April/May the dandelions and some other plants are blossoming and they provide food for the insects like bees, early butterflies and other insects. And those insects are food for the birds like the swallows, (who are nesting in our garages), sparrows (they are nesting in the nestboxes and under the roof of our house), white wagtail and other birds who are nesting in the trees around our property. So we decided not to mowe until the dandelions and other early blossoming plants are done blossoming. So don't get shocked when you arrive and see a sea of yellow blossoms and higher grass on the plot, just know they are there for a very important reason (and it looks really sunny all the yellow).

Snow in April.

Snow in April, in Dutch we would say, April doet wat ie wil, April does as he pleases. But if it was up to me April gives sunshine and lovely spring weather. But, thankfully maybe 😉 , it's not up to me and we have a bit of snow for now.

The ducks were the only ones not impressed, on the contrary, they loved it as you can hear in the video. 🦆😍. The chickens were stunned and refused to get out of their house. ❄️ The cats are grumpy cause they hate snow and are now bound to stay inside just as the dogs.

And for the guests..... it was a bit of an unwelcoming surprise but an excuse to sleep a bit longer. 😴

Let's hope sunshine returns quickly and the snow melts even quicker.

Went to the beach at Lyngby Strand today. There was a dead S***m Whale stranded on the beach. It came from Blåvand, it had been washed ashore there some days ago, and the tide and current brought him to Lyngby. There are 4 more stranded S***m Whales, they are at Fanø. All of them are dead. For now they will leave the one in Lyngby, maybe tide and current brings him somewhere else, maybe he stays.
They took away his lower jaw, apparently the lower jaw is worth a lot of money. Even in death animals are not safe.

Nobody knows what happened to them and why they washed up here. It is sad to see such a wonderful animal lying there.

Northern lights (aurora borealis) visible here at Gyrupcamp. I love this, the view, green, the pink, the waves it makes.

Quick trip to Stenbjerg beach in the snow before I'm leaving for Holland on Thuesday. Going for a short vacation, visiting friends and talk loads of Dutch. Happy to leave and happy to come back ❤️.
