UPDATE: The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) reports that after Hurricane Maria's proximity to the country's coasts, there has been no damage to the tourist destinations and all airports, seaports and highways are operating regularly. Today, The U.S. National Hurricane Center has discontinued the hurricane and tropical storm alerts for the country. The tourism industry has returned to normal and excursions and tourist attractions have reestablished their regular agendas.

The Dominican Republic continues to be a safe destination and the #1 vacation option in the Caribbean. The country maintains its commitment to offer visitors the best service and a first-class experience.
