You are invited to come stay in Ecuador at (www.sanjuandelavega.com) in one of our lovely villas located on our ranch Hacienda San Juan de La Vega in San Pablo del Lago in the province of Imbabura, Ecuador (near "Otavalo"). This B&B experience is found on a majestic hacienda (40+ hectares = 100 acres) located at the end of a long Andean valley with a stream flowing through its green pastures. Along the stream you will find large pools that are perfect for taking a little swim if you dare…the water is a bit chilly; however, extremely invigorating! Children love this outdoor pastime. A perfect retreat from wherever you find yourself at this moment… into a serene nature filled environment. Return to NATURE, If you choose you can leave your cellphones, internet, emails and stress behind… its up to you! On our property we have an organic vegetable garden. You are welcome to harvest from this abundant garden for your meals. If you are a garden lover you are also welcome to work in our garden, which is my personal favorite pastime. For those of you who enjoy hiking, just step outside, there are amazing views and waterfalls to be discovered in the surrounding mountainside. OUR LOCATION: A little slice of heaven! Come discover it for yourself, you will not want to leave. We are surrounded by majestic volcanic peaks (all extinct), spectacular views, and fun tourist activities/adventures. This is a perfect retreat for a group of friends looking to getaway for a long weekend or a family getaway looking for great memories. We have also had more than one family visit at a time, which we highly recommended! You will take with you memories that will last a lifetime! Priceless! We are located 2,600m high in the northern Andes Mountains of Ecuador, near the rural village of San Pablo del Lago. We are 1 hour from the Quito International Airport. As you enter and exit our ranch you will experience moments in which you feel that you have traveled back in time... Shepherds still walk their sheep to graze in the communal pastures... picturesque! If you are in the mood to dine out we have 3 great hotels within a 5 to 10min drive of our property. Come visit! We are sure that you will love this vacation experience!
