Hace varias décadas, cuando la carretera que conecta Machalilla con Puerto López aún era de tierra, las vacas de la región emprendían un viaje diario. Cada mañana, se dirigían desde Machalilla a Puerto López para encontrarse con sus parejas, regresando a casa al atardecer antes de que cayera la noche.
Durante su travesía, estas vacas dejaban semillas de algarrobo en su excremento, las cuales, con el tiempo, germinaron y se convirtieron en los majestuosos árboles que hoy forman este hermoso túnel natural. Sus copas se entrelazan creando un paisaje encantador, un verdadero testimonio de cómo la naturaleza y el tiempo pueden tejer historias de amor y vida.

Every morning, they would travel from Machalilla to Puerto López to meet their partners, returning home at dusk before nightfall.
During their journey, these cows left carob seeds in their droppings, which over time, germinated and grew into the majestic trees that now form this beautiful natural tunnel. Their canopies intertwine, creating an enchanting landscape, a true testament to how nature and time can weave stories of love and life.
