Welcome to Tierra- bed, breakfast and garden!
Located at 15 minutes of the new Quito airport, at this small bed and breakfast you will experience the warmth of a renewed old farm and the quality and confort for a good rest and a peaceful stay well needed prior or after a long trip.
Our large rooms are well equipped with a full bed mattress of excellent quality, white cotton sheets and a cosy duvet in duck feathers. Flowers, bright colors and carefully chosen artisan decorative articles contribute to create a wonderful and warmth environment ideal for rest, reading or sharing around fire and a glass of wine. We offer a total of five rooms with three full bathrooms with hot water inside the house and three extra showers outside the building.
High speed wifi internet is available at all the rooms and shared spaces making possible to work and share with family and friends. We also have a laptop available for our guests who may need it.
Ideal for families. We have rooms with capacity up to four people and a space with two rooms sharing a bathroom that can host a group up to six guests traveling together. One of our rooms is specially designed for senior guests, with easy access to the shower and no steps to enter into the room. A cradle or a ground floor little mattress is available upon request for babies and small kids.
Oher spaces to share include a living room with fireplace, a dinning room with capacity for six persons and a fully equipped kitchen that you can use in case you prefer to prepare your own food. Also, a washing machine is available with no extra charges.
Surrounding the house, we have more than 2500 sqm of gardens and spectacular viewpoints over the el Chiche River canyon and the oriental mountain chain. The garden has hundred years old trees and a barbecue place with grill, tables and plates for free use of our guests.
We also offer a camping space, with services such as hot water showers, toilet and wifi internet. Our guests doing camping can also access for free the washing machine and the kitchen if they need it.
The quality of our customer service is ensured by the fact that this is a family owned business where all of us are doing our best to make you feel as a special guest. At reservations and arrival arrangements, Veronica Isabel will be communicating with you in any of your preferred language (english, french, spanish or portuguese), doing her best to settle any special need you may require to make your stay confortable and easy. At the transportation service from and to the airport, to Quito city and/or to other destinations, David will be driving you ensuring security and timeliness. All the required services inside the place will be ensured by Orladis, with great amiability and care.
This bed and breakfast is located in between the new airport and Quito city, at the valley of Tumbaco. Tumbaco is a small town belonging to the Quito Metropolitan District, located at 2400 meters above the see. The weather generally is warm and sunny, making this place ideal for getting used to the altitude at your arrival to Ecuador or when you are coming back from the coast or the Galapagos Islands. Near this place, you can do some trekking or biking to the Chiche canyon or through the “chaquiñán”, the old train road. Also, you can walk around the Tumbaco and Cumbaya towns (10 minutes form the BB) where you can enjoy traditional food and the delicious “helados de paila” (fruit ice creams). The Ilaló mountain, an old volcano where the first human settlements of Ecuador where located (15 minutes from the BB), is another quite easy trekking destination where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the valley surrounding Quito and its volcanoes. Finally, the BB is an easy departure point to different destinations that you can enjoy in one day, such as:
Antisana National Park: condors viewpoint, La Mica lagoon, veiwpoint of the volcanic eruption “muertepungo”
Quito viewpoints: Av. Simón Bolivar, Itchimbía Park, Panecillo, Barrio San Juan, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Av. Occidental, Guápulo.
