Beautifully restored old style mansion in La Mariscal, the most vibrating neighbourhood of the city. The idea for the pod hostel came from the Japanese major train stations where pod beds are available for commuters whom missed their train or too inebriated to face their spouses. Social areas includes a garden, two TV rooms, a terrace, a quiet reading room, a bar/game room and a cafe is planned in

the next two months. Towels and rooms are cleaned daily, linen cleaned every three days. Naturally, newly arriving guests will be sleeping in crispy clean linen. Children younger than 6 years old stay for free on existing beds. We have discounts for groups and long stays. Guests can access their allocated pod room with other pod rooms off limit. All other areas are open for access. La Mariscal is the place to be for the young at heart. It bristles with bars, restaurants, cafes and discotheques with dancing being the favourite pass time of the South Americans. "Mogens Pod Hostel" is about 5 min. walk from that action so a good nights sleep can be had.

“Mogens Pod Hostel” is located in LA MARISCAL neighbourhood, on 9 de Octubre N24-118 and Luis Cordero Street. Right on the corner. Arriving in Mariscal Sucre Airport, the best way to get to "Mogens Pod Hostel" is by taxi (make sure you book the taxi in the airport taxi office, do not pick one kerbside) the ride should be $25.00 to $30.00. An airport bus is also available for about $8.00 pp which will take you to the old airport. From there bus services are available at 25 cents pp or taxi, so if you are 2 people or more a taxi from the airport is economically more attractive. Always ask the taxi driver for the price to your destination before getting in, if you do not like the price ask another taxi, there are plenty of them except when it is raining. From the north or the south bus terminal (Carcelen or Quitumbe) you can take the Trolebus (25 cents pp) to Colon station and from there you walk down along (east) Colon Street, 1 block then take a right into 9 de Octubre for one block, we are on that corner.
