Blow down vessel يستخدم خزان التفوير لإستقبال المياه الساخنة من غلايات البخار و دمج مياه بدرجة منخفضة معها
Blown down water leaves the boiler entering the pipework and flashing off (a result of being pressurized hot water above 100 °C ).
The resulting mixture of steam and hot water enter the receiver tangentially at high velocity and the impact of this is resisted with a stainless steel wear plate welded internally.
The vortex created by this action separates the steam and water; steam vents safely to atmos-phere, assisted by an exhaust head if required, and the water containing blow down deposits falls to the bottom, expelling earlier emissions safely to drain at a cooler temperature. The drain valve should be opened periodically to remove any buildup of sludge.
The trapped water remaining in the vessel after blow down serves two purposes:
It forms a water seal preventing the discharge of flash steam through the water outlet to the drain.
It also cools the incoming blow down so that the mixed water going to drain is at an acceptably low temperature.
It is recommended never to blow down more than ONE steam boiler at a time into a common blow down vessel.
If the vessel is equipped with any of the special features mentioned above, a separate operation manual is always supplied with each unit, read it carefully before installation and/or operation of the vessel.
