Designed by the eminent Egyptian architect, Abd El Rahman El Miniawy,
the entire Mangroovy Village has been carefully planned to blend into the beautiful natural surroundings of Nabq. The essence of Mangroovy is to provide beautiful, affordable homes which are complemented by the natural landscape. The apartments, villas and town houses all have unique, original features. Abd El Rahman El Miniawy lives in Cairo. Together with his brother, Hany El Miniawy, also an architect, he has been responsible for designing many housing and commercial building projects in Egypt and abroad. Their work has taken them to Algeria and France. Abd El Rahman El Miniawy has won awards for his designs and in the 1990s he was nominated for the Aga Khan Prize for Arab Islamic Architecture.

مكان عمره 554 سنة.. تخيلوا يوصل للحال ده؟عارفين المكان اللي في الصورة ده إيه؟ ده مش مجرد حيطة قديمة أو مبنى مهجور.. ده "رَبْع الأمير يشبك من مهدي" في صحراء المماليك.المكان ده مبني سنة 1474م.. يعني بقاله 554 سنة واقف مكانه! أقدم من دول بحالها وموجود قبل ما أمريكا تكتشف أصلاً!يعني إيه "رَبْع"؟بالمصطلحات بتاعة زمان، الربع ده كان زي "فندق 5 نجوم" ومجمع سكني وتجاري فخم جداً. بناه الأمير "يشبك" (الذراع اليمين للمؤرخين والسلاطين وعقلية هندسية عبقرية) عشان يستقبل فيه التجار والمغتربين، والمحلات اللي تحت تصرف عوائدها على المستشفيات والغلابة.المحزن في الموضوع:المكان اللي كان كله رخام ملون، وحركة، وحياة، وفخامة مملوكية مفيش زيها.. واصل للأسف للحالة دي من النسيان والإهمال وبيصارع عشان ما يقعش.الآثار دي مش شوية حِجارة، دي هويتنا وتاريخنا اللي العالم كله بيحسدنا عليه. حرام تحفة معمارية زي دي تضيع وتتنسي كده!لازم نوصل صوتنا عشان الأثر ده يترمم ويرجع ينور تاني وسط آثار صحراء المماليك.شاركونا برأيكم.. إزاي نقدر ننقذ الأماكن المنسية دي؟ وهل حد منكم راح زار صحراء المماليك قبل كده؟
