After returning from our recent trip to Gran Canaria, this is a review of our experience, which may help anyone who is considering the hotel or area.
We booked the all inclusive break with Love Holidays, who we have used for many years, and personally have had very good service, the communication is spot on, paperwork is always by email, all I would say is do not try and change parts of your holiday, as this will cause problems with u and Love Holidays.
Transfer to the hotel was by private transfer and only took about 30 mins max, the hotel we choose was Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito, situated in Playa Taurito. The hotel is situated in a valley with hotels facing each other, there only being 6/7 hotels in total.
We got checked in ok, and room 624 was ours, room was as any hotel room, plenty of storage, tv etc, and poss one of the biggest balconies we have had.
We discovered the following day that the hotel faces West, which meant the sun had to rise over the hotel before the the sun made an appearance!! So you do have to wait until around 10am to sit in any sun, but the upside is that u get sun on the Balcony until sunset ! 🙂
Hotel is a 3 Star, and we say yes it is, all drinks are in thin paper cups, unless you are in the restaurant which is glasses, the food is ok, poss a little repetitive! But no one will starve, unless you are very fussy ! Also no tables are set, you have to get your own cutlery and find a table.
If you are a family, there is a water park directly outside the hotel, and is free entry for hotels guests, otherwise it’s 17 euro’s each !!
We really enjoyed our week in Gran Canaria, it was very warm, and spot on for a break in February, but myself and Carole would go back to the area, but not the hotel !
That’s it for the first of 24…. On to the next in April 🙂 x
