New tomb discovery at the Dra-Abu Naga necropolis contains mummies, sarcophagi statuettes, pots and other artifacts .
The 18th Dynasty tomb belonged to goldsmith Amenemhat, his wife and 2 sons.

Exciting discoveries are being made in this area of the Kings Valley necropolis regularly now and archaeologists can be seen engaged in the field work during the winter season from October to March.

We have had guests who have walked the path alongside the palm trees and banana plantations leading to the village of Gezira with its many small shops selling all sorts of groceries. Keep walking and you come to Ramla with restaurants, cafes and hotels or take a left turn at Gezira and you are very close to the Valley of Kings entrance.
Some guests have hired bicycles and enjoyed the ride to the Valley of Kings.

It is an amazing experience to get out and appreciate the wonderful countryside , some areas and sights along the way are unchanged from the ancient landscape.
The local Egyptian is so friendly and just loves to point the way or give directions to all of Egypt's guests.
