I thought it was time to write about the moving parts of planning a trip to Egypt that need to fit together properly to make a trip that actually works. Availability at any time in Egypt is not as high as people imagine - most especially at the high end, and, once you start planning it's important to keep an eye on the moving parts until final decision and bookings are in place - otherwise you can end up planning again from the start.

Cairo is an amazing and special city - it has survived the centuries intact - I believe it is a protected space and I wish I could properly share how I see it and how I feel about it - this is a good start for first time visitors.
