St Catherine's Monastery – Mount Sinai
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, St Catherine's Monastery is one of the oldest Christian monasteries still in continuous use. Located in a gorge at the base of Mount Sinai, the monastery dates back to the Byzantium era and is sacred to three main world religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
