Congratulations to our Chairman, Mr. Hossam El Shaer, on being named one of Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders 2026, for the fourth consecutive year.

Under his leadership, SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises has grown to 41 hotels and resorts and 7 Nile cruises across Egypt, Greece, Tanzania, and Morocco. The group now has more than 13,000 rooms, with 20,000 targeted by 2030. Its next phase of growth includes a joint venture with Minor Hotels to launch 50 properties across Egypt in the next 10 years. Through Madaar Developments, its real estate arm, the group is also developing seven projects on a 1,120-acre land bank.

Mr. El Shaer also chairs the Egyptian Tourism Federation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Grand Egyptian Museum .
