🚨 EMERGENCY STATEMENT | NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC 🚨

🔴 RED WARNING due to strong wind gusts.

⚠️ EXTREMELY DANGEROUS weather situation in Albox and throughout the Almanzora region this Wednesday.

Given this situation, the Local Emergency Plan has been activated and the emergency services (112) have been notified.

💨 Very violent wind gusts are expected, with speeds that may reach or exceed 130 km/h, especially in the northern part of the province where we are located.

👉 Serious risk to people’s safety.

🔴 URGENT RECOMMENDATIONS:

• 🚫 Avoid leaving your home unless absolutely necessary.
• 🚗 Limit travel and exercise extreme caution on the roads.
• 🪟 Secure doors, windows, awnings, and remove loose objects from balconies and terraces.
• 🌳 Stay away from trees, façades, poles, scaffolding, and unstable structures.
• 📢 Follow only official information and the instructions of Emergency Services and Civil Protection.

🌧️ Rainfall is expected to be minor and concentrated in inland and mountainous areas, but the wind poses an extreme danger.

The Albox Town Council, therefore,

⛔ ORDERS THE CLOSURE OF:
• All public parks.
• Municipal sports facilities.

ℹ️ In addition, the following are SUSPENDED:

• Children’s playroom service
• Music School
• All cultural and sports activities, both outdoors and indoors.

All of this is to ensure the safety of all residents until the severe weather subsides.
