TOURISM | DID YOU KNOW…? The Legend of Fuente Zaide 💧🌙

Today, our series takes us to one of Alcaudete’s most well-known spots: Fuente Zaide.
Legend has it that Zaide and Aixa, two young Muslim lovers, attempted to flee together to Granada in search of freedom. However, they were discovered near the spring, and Zaide lost his life while trying to defend their love and their escape.

Since then, tradition holds that the site became forever linked to their story and came to be known as Fuente Zaide.

🎥 Press play and discover one of our town’s most tragic and romantic legends.

Because Alcaudete is also made of stories and legends passed down from generation to generation.
