🇪🇸 Casa Con Vista First (Year 2) Caves Project Update 🇪🇸

CCV Cave development continues and is now a few months into year 2 since the very beginning (in some ways it feels its been going on a whole lot longer!).

So another Kelso to Moraira van trip recently completed where the majority of the cargo comprised of 250 meters of CLS timber and a 1990's something retro 'football champ' arcade machine which has lived in a shed in Kelso for 30 years. Seemed like a great idea to give the old arcade machine a new lease of life in a cave in Spain. Perhaps next time it would be wise to check it doesnt sound like its about to blow up (garnished with electrical sparks inside the machine) when plugged into the electric for the first time in 3 decades!! Ah well......................

There has been a decent amount of progress albeit not necessarily immediately visible - with the exception of the 'Cave Sh***er' which is not too far away from completion.

Subsequent to the stage being properly developed in Cave 3.......................Cave 4 will start to be born!! 🤞

🇪🇸 Casa Con Vista Year End Caves Project Update 🇪🇸

Work started early January this year so that pretty much is 12 months worth of development on the caves.

There remains a lot more work to do on what's already there, however some ideas for further development are nurturing!!

Lets see what 2026 brings...............................TBC!!

A very welcome review just posted onto the portal our last guests used to book the villa for their stay last week.

It is immeasurably heart warming for us to learn that our guests staying at the villa feedback such positive reviews of their time at CCV.

Fortunately for us now - the vast majority of our guests who stay at the villa are made up of previous guests who return to CCV, which most, if not all, have actually become good friends of ours.

The current family staying at CCV who have arrived only today will be in residence for the whole of August - and this year marks their 4th year in a row doing so.

👷‍♂️Casa Con Vista - Man Caves Project Update July 25👷‍♀️

Further to previous update in early June - the Caves project has seen some significant progress throughout June & July - albeit still a long way to go.

Cave 2 looks way closer to completion in the attached video than it is in reality.

However, its still heading in the right direction!!

👷‍♂️Casa Con Vista - Man Caves Project Update June 25👷‍♀️

Further to the last update in early April.............work continues developing the caves.

Before the end of this month the target is to have all walls in Cave 2 plaster boarded and perhaps even the suspended ceiling installed.

As at the end of this month it's tools down until sometime around mid September as guests will be resident over the high season.

Despite the fact there has been a HUGE amount of work completed since the start of the project in January this year.........clearly there exits a HUGE (x 10) more amount of work remaining.

However.....................its progressing!!!!

👷‍♂️Casa Con Vista - Man Cave Project Update👷‍♀️

Work on developing the under build continues albeit not at the rate of progress we initially hoped.

The delay in the rate of progress was admittedly completely self inflicted via the decision to effectively double the size of the area via opening up another part of the under build.

Consequently, the timescale on project completion now looks more like the end of this year before it will be fit for humans.

However, as they say - 'all good things come to those who wait'!!

Its been a busy 'off season' at Casa Con Vista preparing the villa for the coming season.

Aside from the usual annual maintenance work, we have added some additional 'features' and improvements to what already existed with the objective of maximising the enjoyment for all CCV guests.

A few of such additional features and improvements include;

> Installation of ceiling fans in all bedrooms
> Refurbishment of outside BBQ area
> Additional Solar renewable energy
> Additional & Improved smart lighting
> Installation of an outside projector and screen in BBQ area
> Installation of ceiling mounted X-Box console in Terrace Room
> Additional Sonos Smart Speakers

Separately, work is now underway developing a significant area of the under build at CCV to facilitate a new 'entertainment' area.

Perhaps some would guess what's going on in the under build area looks like its intended use when complete could be labelled a 'Man Cave'🤔😁😁. That wouldn't be a bad guess !!!

It is still relatively early days with the under build development, however we hope stage 1 will be complete and ready for 'humans' (not just men!!!!) around May this year.

Whilst the regularity of our social media postings would suggest otherwise – it has nonetheless been a busy season at Casa Con Vista.

Somehow our amazing luck continues with regards the quality of the absolutely superb guests to the villa.

The positive feedback we have had from CCV guests this year is once again immeasurable in terms of the happiness it provides to us in the knowledge that CCV has provided for others, the same pleasure it always provides for us.

The photos attached were taken around a week ago and provided to us by the last group of this season’s guests who (consistent with all other guests this year) would be welcome back anytime.

As per the saying………..a photo (or two)………'tells a thousand words'!!!!

Just a shame that this group of 9 lovely ladies declined to sanction the publication of some hilarious video footage captured during their stay!!🤣

Casa Con Vista is delighted to have hosted once again the Clark family (featuring Paul, Caroline, Eilidh & Ruan) this week. Team Clark can now be ranked in the Casa Con Vista Stalwarts status with this last visit being their fourth in a little over two years.

If the quality of the villa and facilities could even comparatively speaking compete in the same league as the quality of this superb family – then job done!!!!

The 'seasons' first guests departed Casa Con Vista today and we are delighted that their feedback of both the villa, Moraira and surrounding area was all very positive.

The pleasure it provides for us with the knowledge and feedback that our guests have very much enjoyed their break is immeasurable.

If there existed a platform where hosts where able to review/grade their guests - then our guests this week would more than merit a 5 star review.

Next Casa Con Vista guests arrive tomorrow.
