Hi Alicante & Costa Blanca..

We're currently putting together a few guides to help people find out which restaurants and takeaways are available in their local areas during the current situation and with the ongoing de-escalation changes planned to happen, we thought this would be a perfect time to let everyone know about which places will be re-opening for business.

We have quite a few already, but if anyone would like to be added or can recommend any businesses to be added the list that would be GREAT!

As you can imagine it's no small task covering the whole Alicante province, but we want to try to help everyone get back on their feet.

NEWS UPDATE

President Sanchez has spoken to the nation and has announced that the recovery will happen, over 8 weeks, in three flexible phases.

Phase 1 - Small businesses will be allowed to open, subject to hygiene and social distancing controls and limits, but not commercial centres. Bars and restaurants will only be allowed to serve 30% of their terraces. Hotels also may be allowed to open with a 30% occupancy, no communal zones. Shops will have a preferred timetable for the over 65s, sports venues will be allowed to open under strict conditions. Highly recommended to wear masks on public transport.

Phase 2 - If all goes well, restaurants will be allowed to open their interiors with 30% occupancy. Some centres will be allowed to open to look after working parents. Some public gatherings outdoor will be allowed under 400.

Phase 3 - Flexibility of movement will be returned, wearing masks recommended, relaxation may be allowed if things go well.

The timetable - The Government will aim to start phase 1 in most regions that meet the minimum criteria by 11 May, and to get to phase 3, by the end of June in this area.

However, the progress in each phase will be monitored and will only pass to the next phase if things go as planned. The health department will review progress each 15 days and they will study restricting access by groups.

Movement between provinces will be restricted until the situation improves. An extension of 15 days will be sought to the State of Alarm.

The President stresses that we have achieved a lot, but we stand to lose everything; the virus hasn't gone. "Our behaviour will save lives."

Here is a very useful tool which shows 1km radious from your house in anticipation of tomorrow's new rules for children.

Click on the link, zoom in find your location and click, you will then see the circle appear which is the distance you will be able to travel to.

I'm glad I checked as I thought we would be able to go further than we actually can, and I'm sure there will be police checking that we are not going outside of our 1km zone
