🐑🐑🐑 Our flock of more than 20 sheep do much more than simply make us smile. They help keep the vegetation under control, reduce the need for mechanical mowing and naturally fertilise the soil. Their grazing also helps maintain the landscape and supports biodiversity.

It’s a simple, traditional way of caring for the land, where our sheep benefit from their natural surroundings and the environment benefits from their presence.

And of course, life at Es Racó wouldn’t be quite the same without them.

🐑🐑🐑 Nuestro rebaño de más de 20 ovejas hace mucho más que simplemente sacarnos una sonrisa. Ayudan a mantener la vegetación bajo control., reducen la necesidad de siega mecánica y fertilizan el suelo de forma natural. Su pastoreo también contribuye a conservar el paisaje y favorece la biodiversidad.

Es una forma sencilla y tradicional de cuidar la tierra: nuestras ovejas se benefician de su entorno natural y el medio ambiente se beneficia de su presencia.

Y, por supuesto, la vida en Es Racó no sería lo mismo sin ellas.

🐑🐑🐑 Unsere Herde von mehr als 20 Schafen bewirkt weit mehr, als uns nur ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zu zaubern. Sie helfen dabei, die Vegetation in Schach zu halten, den Bedarf an maschinellem Mähen zu verringern und den Boden auf natürliche Weise zu düngen. Ihr Weiden trägt außerdem zur Erhaltung der Landschaft bei und fördert die Artenvielfalt.

Es ist eine einfache, traditionelle Art, das Land zu pflegen, bei der unsere Schafe von ihrer natürlichen Umgebung profitieren und die Umwelt von ihrer Anwesenheit profitiert.

Und natürlich wäre das Leben auf Es Racó ohne sie nicht dasselbe.

Our guided meditation is part of the daily programme and is included for all hotel guests. No previous experience is needed — just a little curiosity and the willingness to give yourself this time.

🌅 En Es Racó d’Artà, nuestra meditación de cada mañana es una forma tranquila de empezar el día, con la mente más despejada, un poco más de atención al presente y sin ninguna prisa.

Nuestra meditación guiada forma parte del programa diario y está incluida para todos los huéspedes del hotel. No necesitas experiencia previa, solo un poco de curiosidad y ganas de dedicarte este momento.

💦 After a treatment, after a walk through the estate, or simply when you feel like slowing down for a while. Our Spa area is one of those places where doing nothing feels exactly right. And at this time of year, the autumn light adds something special to it all. A little warmer, a little softer, and somehow even easier to switch off.

💦 Después de un tratamiento, tras un largo paseo por la finca o, simplemente, cuando te apetezca tomártelo con calma un rato. Nuestra zona de spa es uno de esos lugares en los que no hacer nada te sienta de maravilla. Y en esta época del año, la luz del otoño le da un toque especial a todo. Un poco más cálida, un poco más suave y, de alguna manera, hace que sea aún más fácil desconectar.

💦 Nach einem Treatment, nach einem Spaziergang über unser weitläufiges Gelände oder einfach, wenn Sie Lust haben, mal eine Weile einen Gang herunterzuschalten. Unser Spa-Bereich ist einer dieser Orte, an denen es sich einfach richtig anfühlt, nichts zu tun. Und zu dieser Jahreszeit verleiht das Herbstlicht dem Ganzen noch etwas ganz Besonderes. ☀️ Conscious Walk to the Viewpoint at Sunset (on Thursdays) or Sunrise (on Sundays). This route starts at Es Racó d‘Artà and goes up to Puig des Racó, where you can enjoy the marvellous views. At this point, participants are invited to do a meditation exercise before descending back down.

🟤 Some things are easy to overlook. The texture of a wall, the way the light falls through a window, a handmade object, the grain of the wood.

At Es Racó, it’s often these small details that shape the feeling of the whole place. Nothing needs to shout to be noticed.

🟤 Hay cosas que se pasan por alto fácilmente. La textura de una pared, cómo entra la luz por una ventana, un objeto hecho a mano, las vetas de la madera.

⭐️ Golden Hour in Mallorca: The light softens, everything takes on a warm, golden hue, and the colors suddenly seem even more intense. Stone, earth, and vegetation look especially beautiful in this light. No wonder photographers love this time of day.

⭐️ La hora dorada en Mallorca: la luz se vuelve más suave, todo adquiere ese tono cálido y dorado, y los colores parecen de repente aún más intensos. Sobre todo la piedra, la tierra y la vegetación lucen especialmente bonitas con esta luz. No es de extrañar que a los fotógrafos les encante esta hora.

🌵 The prickly pear is one of the best-known cactus species on Mallorca and also grows on our 220-hectare property. The sweet figs, known as “Higo Chumbo” can be used to make, for example, jam, ice cream, juices, b**r, or cocktails (such as the well-known drink “Oro de Mallorca,” made with prickly pear puree and olive oil).

Our suggestion for today: ‚Cheesecake with prickly pear jam and caramelized nuts‘

🌵 El higo chumbo es una de las especies de cactus más conocidas de Mallorca y también crece en nuestro terreno de 220 hectáreas. Los higos dulces se pueden usar para preparar, por ejemplo, mermelada, helado, zumos, ce***za o cócteles (como la famosa bebida «Oro de Mallorca», con puré de higos chumbos y aceite de oliva).

Nuestra sugerencia de hoy: «Tarta de queso con confitura de higo chumbo y garrapiñadas»

🌵 Der Feigenkaktus ist eine der bekanntesten Kaktusarten auf Mallorca und wächst auch auf unserem 220 Hektar großen Gelände. Aus den süßen Feigen, die als „Higo Chumbo“ bekannt sind, lassen sich zum Beispiel Marmelade, Eis, Säfte, Bier oder Cocktails herstellen (wie das bekannte Getränk „Oro de Mallorca“, das aus Kaktusfeigenpüree und Olivenöl zubereitet wird).
