So here it is folks a reality post. This week has been the slowest yet in the 3 and half years since opening on top of a very quiet September. We haven't covered our rent let alone the other overheads. Simply put if this trend continues we wont make it to Christmas.
We need more customers, more people refilling their bottles, jars and containers with cleaning products, whole foods and goodies. The countless times I hear 'I did not know you were here', 'I didn't know you sold that', 'I didn't know you did deliveries'... This I accept is down to me, but I'm not a marketing expert, an influencer nor a display expert. I'm a shop owner who is lucky enough to turn a desire into a reality where I can help people to change their shopping habits to reduce plastic packaging that is suffocating our world.
I thought that people would be so on board that we could make a difference by the choices we make. But the reality facing us is that not only do we not have enough customers, but our government seems to not find the plastic waste issue important enough to help shops like ours survive. So I'm making this post to thank our loyal customers who come regularly to ask once again please spread the word, come visit us or do an online order. We have tried to make shopping with us as easy as possible because we know life is busy. We are open till 7pm on Wednesdays for those that struggle to come during working hours and do deliveries to those who cannot get to us easily. We try to accommodate our customers needs wherever we can🌏
