For this project, the challenge was to make a person appear giant inside a house built on much smaller proportions which meant every detail of the lighting had to help sell the illusion.

From large sources shaping the overall light to smaller fixtures like the Aputure 80C, used with the Spotlight attachment to create precise pockets of light and reinforce specific areas of the frame.

The 80C is one of those tiny, incredibly practical fixtures: small, lightweight and easy to move around, but capable of creating very controlled light when you need that final touch.

The new queen of high speed has landed at Na**lm.

The new Pixboom is now in the house: 1000 fps in 4K and up to 1800 fps in 2K. We rigged her up and took her into the studio for some testing… and of course, we had to see what happens when you slow film down. 🎞️

For the curious: all the tests were shot with a 60mm Macro Leica R Vintage 70.
