We’ve booked the so called ‘family-friendly’ house or hotel only to find the pool is not fenced in, the staircase is a hazard, or the photos bear little resemblance to the reality. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Family holidays can and should be fun and stress-free and, if you choose the right places to stay, need not mean sacrificing style. On our travels we have found a number of accommodat

ions that have been both beautifully designed and equipped specifically with young families in mind; places that are not only genuinely child-friendly, but where parents will also enjoy comfortable, fashionable surroundings. To be included on The Little Voyager every hotel or rental home we list must meet our strict criteria. We therefore personally inspect every place we list to make sure it meets our high standards. This means we offer a small, but carefully curated choice of stylish, well run accommodations that we can recommend with complete confidence. We charge no commission or booking fee, so making your reservation through us costs you no more than if you browsed the internet looking through all the possibilities yourself and booked direct with the owners. About 12 years ago, a rather disastrous holiday with my 11-month-old son inspired me to create The Little Voyager. My vision was simple: to help families enjoy stress-free, unforgettable holidays in beautiful, family-friendly destinations.

Someone asked me recently how many kids’ clubs I’ve visited since the beginning of The Little Voyager... and it made me realise just how many children’s spaces we’ve seen around the world…👶👧

Some have been incredibly beautiful and thoughtfully designed, while others have been a little less inviting. The variety is truly remarkable and my children have always been the best testers.😊

Today I'm excited to share that The Little Voyager is now offering a brand-new destination: Japan! 🏯🇯🇵

My dear colleague Sandra Theumann recently embarked on this incredible long-haul adventure during the Easter holidays with her husband and their two children (aged 9 and 11), having the best family holiday ever.🙌🏽

Going away alone or with a dear friend, even if only for a few days, is an act of self-care that has been proven to improve wellbeing and make us better parents and partners.

For every parent, the right time to do this is different. Some start travelling without their children very early on, while others need a little longer to feel ready (like me).

One thing I can say for sure: once I started seeing solo trips or getaways with friends as a way to truly recharge as a parent, I made sure to prioritise them more often.
