Of course there's much more on offer, with a rich history and colourful past, there's an abundance of culture waiting for you. The church of Sant Bartomeu dates back to the 12th century, while the Palau Maricel houses a massive private collection of medieval art. The Fundacio Stampfli is a museum dedicated to contemporary art, while the Can Ferrat museum has a private collection that once belonged to the artist and writer and friend of Picasso, Santiago Rusinol. If you just want to party, then you're in the right place. There are bars, restaurants and nightclubs in abundance where you can party till daybreak if you have the energy. The local cuisine is naturally seafood based; with the traditional XATO it's most popular dish.
