The Plaza Real with its palm trees, fountain, terraces and lamp posts designed by Antoni Gaudi is a must see and naturally no visit to Barcelona is complete without seeing the majestic gothic Cathedral, the stunning Palau de Musica or if that is not enough for you, there is also the Liceo opera house and the magnificent Palau Guell designed by Gaudi. For the art lovers this part of the city has an abundance of museums, with exhibitions from contemporary artists, but also from the internationally renowned Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Frederic Mares.
