Just a timely reminder there are scammers trying to do their rounds again.

Claire has found two more in local Benalmádena groups this week.

Please be extra vigilant - if you see something that is too good to be true, it is, if you see a profile that has nothing on their page, be careful, locked profiles are a no go as you cannot see anything about that person, so please do not send a cent to them.

Ask for;

Up to date photos, videos.

A walk round of the property.

Tourist Licence number and copy of it.

NRA number - which is needed on all platforms, including Facebook. Don’t let them tell you it is not needed, it is!

Reviews, reviews reviews.

You can check both the licence number and the NRA number (from the Land Registry where the property is logged).

If in resort ask to see the property.

Please do not be scammed!

There’s been a massive influx of scammers recently.

They are trying to say they have properties to let - they do not!

Be very careful and made sure whoever you book with that you ask for the Tourist Licence number. You can then get that checked. You can find out who the owner is. You can find the exact address details.

Also, ask for their NRA.

Ask for a walkthrough video done by them - they won’t be able to do it, will they?!

Ask for up to date photos.

Ask for recent reviews.

Ask. Ask. Ask!
