🌞 A Fresh Look for Summer 2026 at Cuevas Helena Holidays 🌞

After 10 years of providing welcome shade through countless sunny Andalusian summers.Our much loved parasols have been replaced with beautiful new ones in a fresh colour scheme that brightens up our poolside area and perfectly complements the stunning surroundings.

We're also excited to introduce our brand new shaded hammock area, carefully positioned to make the most of the spectacular views across the Sierra de Cazorla. Whether you're enjoying an afternoon siesta, reading a book, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the peace and quiet, it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

As part of our Summer 2026 improvements, we've also added new lighting in several areas around Cuevas Helena Holidays, creating an even more magical atmosphere as the sun goes down.

We'll be sharing some evening photos very soon so you can see how it looks at night .

We're always making improvements to ensure our guests enjoy the very best experience, and we can't wait for you to see these latest additions for yourself.

We had such an amazing time at the Moors and Christians fiesta so much colour, music, history, and energy everywhere you looked. The parades were incredible, the costumes were stunning, and the atmosphere was just magical from start to finish.

The Moors and Christians parade wasn’t spoiled by the weather 🌧️
if anything, it made the atmosphere even more special .

The effort, passion, and detail that go into this celebration are incredible, and the streets were alive with energy, music, and colour all night long.

The paella was amazing 🥘 and it made the day even more special spending it with our friends Michelle and Paul, who used to have a cave house here so lovely to have them staying with us again for the fiesta.

To top it off, the sky lit up with a spectacular specialist fireworks display ✨🎆 Now the excitement builds… we’re ready for the battle later today⚔️🔥

The Moors and Christians festivities begin in Benamaurel with the traditional opening proclamation, this year delivered by Beni Hernández, who will kick off several days full of history, tradition, and excitement.

After the proclamation, prizes will be awarded for the Moors and Christians Festival Photography Contest 2025 and the Official Poster Contest for the 2026 Festivities 🎉

Mark Graham Painters & Decorators has finished the exterior of the cave just in time for our guests arriving this weekend for the Benamaurel Rock Festival 🎸

What a glorious day and a great job Mark has done once again 👏

One cave done, one more to go it’s never ending for him painting here inside and out. A bit like the Forth Rail Bridge for him… and he’s even painted that many years ago ..

It’s been a super busy time here lately

🌴After the recent storm, we’ve had a big maintenance push to get everything back in shape. All of the trees have now been trimmed, and we’re so grateful that six of them were saved after being uprooted by the winds. They’ve been carefully anchored back into place and we’re hopeful they’ll continue to thrive 🌳

This week has also been full-on as the cave gets its yearly makeover. Mark Graham Painters & Decorators has been hard at work preparing and painting so everything will be looking fresh and beautiful after the storms .

A huge thank you to Centro de Jardinería Zuaime for helping us rescue the trees we truly appreciate all the care and effort 🌲🌴🌲
