On June 10, Tripadvisor officially announced that Malaga Hills Boutique, Wellness & Hiking Eco-Hotel/B&B has been named a Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Winner for 2026.
The award, Tripadvisor's highest recognition, places the small five-room boutique hotel, located between the white mountain villages of Cómpeta and Canillas de Albaida in the Axarquía region of Málaga, among the top 1% of accommodations worldwide.
The recognition reflects a growing trend on Spain's Costa del Sol. Increasingly, international travellers are looking beyond crowded coastal resorts and are choosing destinations that offer peace, nature, clean air, authenticity and personal attention.
