Jalat’s review: The place was excellent – clean, modern and very comfortably furnished. The friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere were particularly impressive. Everything was perfectly organised, and we felt at home straight away. Accommodation that I would recommend without hesitation.

“This place is a truly special hidden gem with absolutely spectacular views. From the moment you arrive, you feel a sense of peaceful tranquillity. Samantha and Clifford are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. The Studio is spotless and equipped with everything you could need — and more. There are lovely dogs and two very cute, friendly cats who were our favourite visitors during the stay. A car is essential for getting around, and nearby Cómpeta is also a lovely place to explore and wander around. We’ll definitely be back!”

Golden loquats gathered in the morning stillness, sun-warmed and sweet from the trees here at Finca La Vida 🌿

Known as nísperos in Spain, loquats are one of the first fruits of the Mediterranean spring — delicate, golden and bursting with a flavour somewhere between apricot, peach and citrus. Our trees are absolutely laden this year, and Clifford has spent the afternoon slowly turning the harvest into jam while the scent filled the kitchen ✨

Tomorrow it will be shared thickly spread over fresh homemade sourdough here at our Sanctuary for the Soul.
These simple rituals of gathering, preserving and sharing food from the land feel deeply grounding and nourishing to us.

There’s something deeply nourishing about slowing down and creating with your hands 🤎

This cinnamon raisin sourdough came from a simple request from Clifford… and turned into something a little bit magical. The smell alone filled the whole space with warmth, and the process itself felt like a ritual — patient, grounding, and full of intention.

Right now I’m in the kitchen, birdsong drifting through the air, low cloud hugging the hills with a soft patch of sun down on the coast… and the dogs and cats fast asleep in their beds. These are the moments that remind me what this life is all about.

This is our Sanctuary for the Soul… simple pleasures, natural rhythms, and creating from a place of care and connection.

A new chapter in my sourdough journey, and one I’m absolutely loving ✨
