On , we cannot avoid reliving the memories of our home-made, charity ‘70.3’ which we organized in support of the cancer research done by Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology.

We did this to give more meaning to the only way to ‘race’ in Fall 2020, as all three race attempts were frustrated by Covid restrictions.

The same restrictions ended up forcing us to come up with ways to swim, bike and run the the segments of a 70.3 within the boundaries of a municipal lockdown and used our car as Transition Area.

Without the crowds and music of a formal IronMan event, the donations to VHIO gave us the extra energy to keep going and our very own, home-made, charity race will surely not be the last we organize.

Every town in Catalonia has a Winter and Summer celebration to honor their Saints (or patrons). In Cabrera de Mar, the Winter festivities were held today in honor of St. Vincent, with the traditional Correfoc (Fire Run) and the Ball dels Gegants (Dance of the Giants).

We ❤️ to 🚴‍♀️, even in winter. Today it was colder than usual (just 1,5 degrees C), but very sunny and we enjoyed our short escape before work. 😎

The ‘Tri’ Kings are coming!

Did you know that in Spain January 5th is the most special day of the year? In Spain, it is not Santa who reviews if you have been naughty or nice, nope.

In Spain, it is Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar, the three Majesties from Orient, who the Young and the Old send their letters to.

They make their way to even the smallest towns and most remote places in Spain on the evening of January the 5th. And if you have been nice during the year, and leave some milk and cookies for them in your living room before you go to sleep… you will find all you wished for in your letter next to the empty glass of milk and the plate with the crumbs of the cookies in the morning.

May all your dreams and wishes come true over todays Magic Night of the Three Kings!
