🇩🇪Wo alles begann
Die Geschichte von Morlans Hotels begann 1968 in Paguera, als unsere Familie die Türen des ersten Hotel Morlans öffnete.
In diesen Anfangsjahren war ein Hotel viel mehr als nur ein Ort zum Übernachten. Es war eine kleine Familie. Die Eigentümer waren im täglichen Hotelbetrieb präsent, kannten ihre Gäste persönlich und teilten Gespräche, Feiern und besondere Momente mit ihnen. Die Gäste waren nicht einfach nur Buchungen: Sie waren Menschen mit Namen und Persönlichkeit, von denen viele Jahr für Jahr wiederkamen.
Dieser tägliche persönliche Kontakt prägte – fast ohne dass wir es bemerkten – eine Art der Hotellerie, die uns bis heute auszeichnet.
Die Kinder der Familie wuchsen zwischen Zimmern, Terrassen, Rezeption und Restaurant auf. Sie lernten von ihren Eltern, indem sie ihnen zusahen: wie man einen Gast herzlich empfängt, sich seinen Namen merkt, auf die kleinen Details achtet und vor allem dafür sorgt, dass sich jemand, der aus einem anderen Land nach Mallorca kommt, wie zu Hause fühlt.
Die Fotografien aus dieser Zeit erzählen genau diese Geschichte.
Es sind Bilder aus einer anderen Zeit, als Paguera gerade begann, sich zu einem beliebten Urlaubsziel zu entwickeln und Hotels noch eine viel persönlichere Atmosphäre hatten. Auf ihnen sehen wir unsere ersten Gäste, unsere Familie und unser Team, die gemeinsam den Alltag im Hotel erlebten. Und genau hier entstand unsere familiäre Gastfreundschaft.
Sie war keine Marketingstrategie und nichts, was man aus einem Handbuch lernen konnte. Es war unsere natürliche Art zu arbeiten und mit den Menschen umzugehen, die uns ihr Vertrauen schenkten, um ihren Urlaub auf Mallorca zu verbringen.
Im Laufe der Jahre wuchs Morlans Hotels. Wir eröffneten weitere Häuser, renovierten unsere Hotels und passten unsere Dienstleistungen an die Bedürfnisse neuer Generationen von Reisenden an. Doch eines wollten wir niemals verändern: die persönliche Nähe.
Denn zu wachsen bedeutet nicht, seine Wurzeln hinter sich zu lassen.
Es bedeutet, sie mit sich zu tragen.
Heute, mehr als fünf Jahrzehnte später, sind wir noch immer davon überzeugt, dass der Unterschied in den Menschen liegt. Darin, einen wiederkehrenden Gast zu erkennen, sich an seine Vorlieben zu erinnern, Mallorca wie einem Freund zu empfehlen und dafür zu sorgen, dass unsere Gäste bei ihrer Abreise bereits den Wunsch verspüren, wiederzukommen.
Seit 1968 wird unsere Geschichte von Menschen geschrieben.
Und genau so verstehen wir Hotellerie bis heute.
🇪🇸Donde empezó todo
La historia de Morlans Hotels comenzó en 1968, en Paguera, cuando nuestra familia abrió las puertas del primer Hotel Morlans.
En aquellos primeros años, un hotel era mucho más que un lugar donde dormir. Era una pequeña familia. Los propietarios estaban presentes en el día a día, conocían personalmente a sus huéspedes, compartían conversaciones, celebraciones y momentos alrededor del hotel. Los clientes no eran simplemente reservas: eran personas con nombre y apellido, muchas de las cuales volvían año tras año.
Ese contacto diario fue dando forma, casi sin darnos cuenta, a una manera de entender la hostelería que todavía hoy nos define.
Los niños de la familia crecieron entre habitaciones, terrazas, recepción y comedor. Aprendieron observando a sus padres: cómo recibir a un huésped, cómo recordar su nombre, cómo preocuparse por los pequeños detalles y, sobre todo, cómo hacer que alguien que llegaba de otro país pudiera sentirse como en casa.
Las fotos de aquellos años cuentan precisamente esa historia.
Son imágenes de una época diferente, cuando Paguera comenzaba a convertirse en un destino turístico y cuando los hoteles todavía tenían una dimensión mucho más personal. En ellas aparecen nuestros primeros huéspedes, nuestra familia y nuestro equipo compartiendo el día a día. Y es ahí donde nació nuestro trato familiar.
No fue una estrategia de marketing ni algo que se aprendiera en un manual. Fue nuestra forma natural de trabajar y de relacionarnos con las personas que confiaban en nosotros para pasar sus vacaciones en Mallorca.
Con el paso de los años, Morlans Hotels creció, incorporamos nuevos establecimientos, renovamos nuestros hoteles y adaptamos nuestros servicios a las nuevas generaciones de viajeros. Pero hay algo que nunca quisimos cambiar: la cercanía. Porque crecer no significa dejar atrás nuestras raíces, significa llevarlas con nosotros.
Hoy, más de cinco décadas después, seguimos creyendo que la diferencia está en las personas. En reconocer a un huésped que vuelve, en recordar una preferencia, en recomendar un lugar de Mallorca como lo haríamos a un amigo y en conseguir que, cuando alguien se marche, tenga ganas de volver.
Desde 1968, nuestra historia se ha construido alrededor de las personas. Y esa sigue siendo nuestra manera de hacer hotelería.

The story of Morlans Hotels began in 1968, in Paguera, when our family opened the doors of the first Hotel Morlans.
In those early years, a hotel was much more than simply a place to stay. It was a small family. The owners were present in the day-to-day life of the hotel, knew their guests personally, and shared conversations, celebrations and special moments with them. Guests were not simply bookings: they were people with names and personalities, many of whom returned year after year.
That daily personal connection gradually shaped, almost without us realising it, a way of understanding hospitality that still defines us today.
The children of the family grew up among bedrooms, terraces, reception and the restaurant. They learned by watching their parents: how to welcome a guest, remember their name, pay attention to the little details and, above all, how to make someone arriving from another country feel at home.
The photographs from those years tell precisely that story.
They are images from a different time, when Paguera was beginning to establish itself as a holiday destination and hotels had a much more personal atmosphere. In them, we see our first guests, our family and our team sharing the everyday life of the hotel. And this is where our family-style hospitality was born.
It was not a marketing strategy or something learned from a manual. It was simply our natural way of working and connecting with the people who trusted us with their holidays in Mallorca.
Over the years, Morlans Hotels grew. We added new properties, renovated our hotels and adapted our services to meet the needs of new generations of travellers. But there is one thing we never wanted to change: our personal approach.
Because growing does not mean leaving your roots behind.
It means carrying them with you.
Today, more than five decades later, we still believe that the difference lies in people. In recognising a returning guest, remembering their preferences, recommending a place in Mallorca as we would to a friend, and making sure that when they leave, they are already looking forward to coming back.
Since 1968, our story has been built around people.
And that is still our way of doing hospitality today.
