Last Sunday we enjoyed a wonderful picnic at Fábrica de la Luz in Canillas de Albaida to celebrate San Juan. 🌿☀️ Spending time together in such a beautiful place is a reminder of just how special our beautiful whitewashed village is! 🥰

Día de las Salves is a special day when the people of Canillas de Albaida come together to honor the Virgen del Rosario. It is not only a religious celebration, but also an important part of the town’s history and community identity.
The tradition dates back to 1884, when a devastating earthquake struck the Axarquía region. Fearing for their lives, villagers took the Virgen del Rosario from the church and carried her in procession through the streets, praying (salves) for protection. When the earthquakes stopped, the event became a lasting symbol of faith, gratitude, and unity that is still commemorated today.

El próximo SÁBADO 24 DE ENERO nos vamos de ruta de senderismo.
📍Ruta circular con salida y llegada a la Fábrica de La Luz, en un recorrido de 11 km disfrutaremos de la naturaleza de nuestro Parque Natural “ Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama”.
Esta actividad está dentro del Programa de Ocio Seguro para la infancia, adolescencia y juventud financiado gracias a la subvención concedida por la Consejería de Inclusión Social, Juventud, Familias e Igualdad con cargo al Plan de Recuperación Transformación y Resiliencia , financiado por la unión europea ( fondos Next Generation) y el Ministerio de Derechos Sociales, Consumo y Agenda 2030.

"Casa Vista was a great choice for us. We had done our research before booking and were expecting great hospitality and comfort, and that is exactly what we found.
The owners, Saskia and Juan, were wonderful. The accommodation was in perfect condition, thoughtfully designed and decorated with great taste.
The location was excellent, especially for trekking around the village. During our stay, they helped us with restaurant recommendations, the bus, and even arranging a taxi, which made everything easy and relaxing.
We plan to visit Canillas de Albaida again, and we are sure we will stay at Casa Vista. If you are searching for accommodation here and are reading this review, you don’t need to look any further, you’re in the right place!”
