💜Feeling grateful, with a heavy heart but a very full one. 💚
Today Lee and I are driving back to Devon from Andalusia for the very last time. The car is packed to the brim… including the cat! 🐈🤣
After almost 22 wonderful years, it’s time to say goodbye to our beloved Douglas Creek. 🌳
Named after our surname, the little creek running through the land and our Douglas pine forest, this place has been so much more than a property. It has been our home, sanctuary and a place filled with memories, laughter, hard work and love.
A huge thank you to my Dad, who helped me find this special place almost 22 years ago and spent those early years helping us turn “a field” into our little piece of paradise.
And to our wonderful friends Belén and Ale, who cared for Douglas Creek as their own, transformed the yurt into a beautiful annexe and poured so much love into the land while bringing up their own family on the land. We will always be grateful. 💚😍
Life moves on, and it feels like time for a new adventure. The children have grown up, we’ve created a beautiful life on the South Devon coast, and there are still so many places on our bucket list.
Don’t worry, I’m not giving up hosting retreats! 🌸 My Inner Wellness Circle CIC and Tropic business are both growing, and I’m excited for everything ahead.
So, although I’m leaving a very special place behind, I’m taking the memories, friendships and love with me.
Thank you, Douglas Creek, for almost 22 unforgettable years. 🌳🥰
And to my Lee, thank you for writing all these wonderful chapters alongside me. One chapter is closing, but another is already beginning.
Here’s to new adventures… and perhaps a few of them child-free! 🤣🌍🥂although I’m sure they will join us as adults when they can 🥰😍
Jo 💜💚
