Why Comares should be on your list when visiting Málaga 🇪🇸☀️

Looking for a place where you can escape the crowds and experience a more authentic side of Andalucía? Then Comares is definitely worth a visit.

Perched high in the hills of the Axarquía, this beautiful white village is known as the “Balcony of the Axarquía” — and once you see the views, you’ll understand why. 🤍

What we love about Comares is the peace and space. No mass tourism, no busy streets full of tour groups… just whitewashed houses, winding little streets, nature and incredible views stretching all the way towards the Mediterranean.

It’s also a great place to get active. There are several hiking routes through the surrounding countryside, with olive groves, mountains and plenty of beautiful viewpoints along the way. And after a morning in nature, you can simply enjoy a long lunch, a drink in the village or head down towards the coast for some time at the beach. 🌿🥾🌊

Whether you want to explore, hike, relax or simply recharge, Comares offers a lovely change of pace from the busier parts of Málaga.

And the best part? It’s close enough to combine with a day at the coast or a trip into Málaga, while still feeling like you’ve discovered somewhere truly special.
