So, I've not posted on here for a while......
I've just popped to the apartment to check on how things are getting along. Not just with the apartment, but also with the pools. And to enjoy the Corralejo sunshine of course.
The apartment after having a new shower, aircon and beds last year, has just had a new oven, hob and extractor fan. Much needed as they were old and very well used! There'll be some other new purchases made whilst I am here too!
Also, on to the pools. The main pool area has been closed since October 2025. It was over 20 years old had started to crumble, it had leaks, and was difficult to keep the chemicals in it long enough to keep it properly clean.
Demolition has been underway ever since, and hopefully by the end of this year, we'll have brand spanking shiney new pools and pool bar area. (All of those bags in the photos are rubble from the demolition)
It's going to be spectacular, with 2 huge pools and a baby pool open, and the pool bar will make a return.
In the meantime the Olymipic swimming pool has also been refreshed and it's currently open for use.
So, although it's sad to see the main pool area in ruins, it's also very exciting for next year, and guests still have another pool and sunbathing area to use.
Once the pools are done there are plans for other areas of the complex. So it's onwards and upwards from here.
