The town hall has announced significant investment and improvements aimed at keeping our beaches cleaner, better maintained and ready to enjoy — including work on the sand, showers, foot-wash areas, beach facilities and more. 🌴🏖️

🌊 Estepona mejora y moderniza sus playas
🏖️ El Ayuntamiento de Estepona destinará casi 900.000 euros a renovar los equipamientos del litoral y mejorar la accesibilidad en todos los accesos públicos a las playas.
🔹 Nuevos módulos de playa: 6 de salvamento, 9 de aseos y 1 de almacén, con espacios adaptados y accesibles.
🔹 1.250 metros lineales de nuevas pasarelas de hormigón, más anchas —hasta 1,80 metros—, resistentes y pensadas para facilitar el acceso durante todo el año.
♿ Una actuación que facilitará el desplazamiento de personas con movilidad reducida hasta las zonas de arena y los servicios de aseo y salvamento.
🔹 42 nuevas tarimas drenantes para duchas y lavapiés y otras 40 para los módulos de playa.
💙 Con estas actuaciones, Estepona continúa avanzando hacia unas playas más accesibles, seguras, cómodas y modernas para vecinos y visitantes.

🌊 Estepona improves and modernises its beaches
🏖️ Estepona Town Council will invest almost €900,000 in upgrading coastal facilities and improving accessibility at all public beach access points.
🔹 New beach facilities: 6 lifeguard and rescue units, 9 toilet units and 1 storage unit, including adapted and accessible spaces.
🔹 1,250 linear metres of new concrete walkways, wider — up to 1.80 metres —, more durable and designed to provide easier access all year round.
♿ This project will make it easier for people with reduced mobility to reach the sandy areas and the toilet and lifeguard facilities.
🔹 42 new drainage platforms for showers and foot-wash stations, plus another 40 platforms for the beach facilities.
💙 With these improvements, Estepona continues to move towards more accessible, safe, comfortable and modern beaches for residents and visitors alike.
