This beautiful boy turned up at our house this morning. Very friendly, and very hungry! We took him to the vet, but he is not chipped. Our neighbour thinks her friend might want him. Fingers crossed! For now, he is safely locked in a big pet carrier, he has a soft blanket, and has eaten 3 sachets of food😁

June through August was so hot and humid. I am refreshed by these cooler mornings and evenings. After a weekend of fluey indolence I am experiencing a resurgence of energy. Flannel shirts over t-shirts now. Not quite woolly jumper weather yet. The dogs have a spring in their step too; Raphie’s happy to have his afternoon walk earlier, and the shorter days have brought Stumpy into his bed in the alpendre as the sun goes down, ‘though he still likes to guard the gate until bedtime....
