Casa Ana is a 400-year old house in the village of Ferreirola in the Alpujarras (mountains of Andalucia). Once an important family home with a wine press, olive oil store, barns and stables, Casa Ana has been transformed into a stylish and comfortable guest house with south-facing terraces, a garden and spectacular river gorge views.

Its citrus season here in our part of Spain which means Paddington's favourite, MARMALADE. This year I am experimenting with d*ifferent versions for the Casa Ana breakfasts. The one you see bubbling here is a classic recipe almost ready to be put into jars. There is a lot of it. There may be some market action happening soon 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊

A few things that have been going on lately in the Casa Ana kitchens.... little mince pies and a giant version. As we head off to celebrate and eat lots of the aforementioned mince pies we would like to wish everyone a most merry festive time of things. It has been a great year at Casa Ana and we are very much looking forward to 2026 and all the fascinating new people and old friends who will walk through the wooden door.

And that's a wrap on an extremely busy and fruitful autumn season at Casa Ana which has seen us hosting groups of painters, writers, yoga and walking enthusiasts, tai chi practitioners, poets and bon viveurs from the U.S. The team over here are a little weary but happy and very much looking forward to a change of pace in keeping with the foggy mornings and colder days up here in the moutains. We will be staying in touch to keep you up to date with what´s coming next year as there is lots to tell. But for now, a cup of hot tea and perhaps a buttered crumpet by the fire. See you soon
