In 1892 the mill was converted into a farm house and, as early as 1927, it ceased belong to Doña Concepción Orduña. It's thick stone walls and privileged location give the old mill a unique and stately character. In this sense, the building has been catalogued as a site of local relevance, according to the Valencian Cultural Heritage Law, due to its representative character for the history of Guadalest and its ethnographic -cultural value. Formerly our casa rural was known by the name of :Moli de Selles,being proff of his existence and funcionating in 1726, when it was restored. Another element that denoted the great economic power of the Orduña . They took water from the Guadalest river through a canal that still contains the remains of an aquaduct,leading it to a raft next to the mill. From there the water reached a jump that still preserved Inside the house and fell about 7 meters high, to give the necessary driving force to make the mill work and grind the cereal, mainly wheat.

El Molinet is an old flour mill that takes his name from its former owner, belonging to the Orduña family and Governor of the Province of Alicante. The Orduña we're the old feudal lords of the town, after their arrival in the Kingdom of Valencia with infante Fortuna de Navarra. Later they went to the service of the Cardona, admirals of Aragón and, in fact, D.Sancho de Cardona received in 1543 the title of Marquis of Guadalest. When the Orduña enjoyed all the confidence of the marquises, they were sent to Guadalest and acted for almost 300 years as. Alcaldes of the fortress and governor's of the marquisate, pressuring great territorial power.
