𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘆𝘀, 𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
The idea came from the co-founders of 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗶, and 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗶. While establishing a non-profit website that helps families and individuals to get the everyday services they may need for wallet-friendly prices by connecting professionals directly with resident families and individuals in Ibiza and Formentera, they figured that together they could even further help the resident families to make this Christmas more special for the kids of the island.
After thinking through the process of the redistribution, they decided to shorten the time of the delivery. 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗶 and 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘂𝘀 ask for images from those who have gifts to offer. Then the families can subscribe to the items showcased on their website. Having the confirmation of any item that it is still available, they will personally deliver each item to the families for free.
The initiative is open to any offer from businesses and individuals. Handmade presents, educational equipment, computers or laptops that are not in use, LCDs, Legos, smart-phones, tablets, painter-drawing sets, etc. Anything you can think of that could be a gift for kids. Baby equipment, toys, and clothes could come in handy as well.
„Christmas is not about tangible presents but the family members to be united in love; however, with a little extra, we can make this year’s celebration more special.
We invite everyone who has been keeping toys of their teenager kids from back in the days to offer them for the cause. We also accept all kinds of gadgets and sports equipment, anything that is in good condition so the kids can have a special Christmas in these uncertain times.
We work hard to survive in the winter on this magical island we call home for six years now, and it’s even a bigger challenge with all the restrictions, but still, if we are to survive the difficult days, we need to help each other, especially in the worst times when there are only a few around to give back to the community. Hopefully, we will inspire the residents of Ibiza to be able to help our neighbours in need.” – said Marius Okolicsanyi and Magdolna Murvai, co-founders of Ibiza Local Services.
The team of ILS will register all the offered items and publish them on their website. Those families that wish for a particular present can inform the team via email or WhatsApp message with the item number for reserving it for their kid(s). After that, free delivery will be arranged for the families before Christmas.
Those generous persons, who don’t have any toys but willing to offer financial support, will be registered with the amount they offer, then regarding the requests from the families, they will be asked to buy a present from their budget which will also be hand-delivered to the families.
