Is Valencia safe to travel to right now? ✈️🍊
It’s a question we often receive. As you might now, in November the region got hit by DANA end of October which brought some heavy rainfalls.
Yes, the situation (in some parts) was really bad. But for some reason, the media decided to make things a bit worse and claim that the city of Valencia wasn’t safe to travel to! ❌
But this is not the truth! The city of Valencia hasn’t been affected at all - and it’s safe to travel here. You won’t notice anything about it when you are here.
The surrounding areas (villages such as Paiporta) have been affected, but they also worked there very hard to keep things back on track. As a tourist, this is usually not a place which you will visit anyway.
And what about Xativa? Well, we luckily escaped this disaster. And from Valencia you can take the train or car to get here - no blocks, no traffic jams or whatsoever! You can safely come here and enjoy everything that this region has to offer. Since there are less tourists right now - take advantage and enjoy the cities at their best!
