An idea of what to do if you stay in our holiday let in Alfaz del Pi, Costa Blanca, Spain.

Take a picturesque and peaceful trek through vertical mountain walls, natural forests, and experience some of the most spectacular views that the Alicante Province has to offer. This is a circular route which takes about an hour and includes some rocky pathways and stone steps. Once you reach the little chapel at the top, you can admire the urban art that adorns its interior, and then take a moment to enjoy the breath taking panoramic scenery.

As we have mentioned before, Alicante is a beautiful city with a gorgeous old town, vibrant shopping areas, a great marina and lovely beaches. The city is full of history.

If you are staying at our rental apartment in the complex of Alfaz del Sol, located in the town of Alfaz del Pi, then a visit to the enchanting district of SANTA CRUZ in the city is a must. You can get there cheaply via tram or bus from Alfaz del Sol where the apartment is located.

At the foot of the Santa Barbara Castle in Alicante’s old town, is the charming neighbourhood of Santa Cruz. Narrow streets full of character, flowers, potted plants, and colourful doorways, make this area an absolute delight to stroll around and feel enlightened. One of the best kept treasures on the Costa Blanca, and a truly magical place to visit, the streets of Santa Cruz are adorned with colour, history and tradition.

Playa de Albir, the beach resort of the town of Alfaz del Pi where our rental apartment is based is bathed in 26 degree sunshine today…

Spain’s climate is lovely all year round.

EXPERIENCE BREATHTAKING VIEWS FROM THE TALLEST HOTEL IN EUROPE!..

The four star Gran Hotel Bali in Benidorm is considered to be the tallest hotel in Europe and boasts some of the most spectacular views on the Costa Blanca. The 186 meter high building opened its doors in 2002, and has a viewpoint located on the 43rd floor which is open to the public and accessed by a panoramic lift. Openng times are Monday to Sunday from 10am till 8pm, with an entrance fee of 6€ per person. Tickets can be puchased at the hotel reception desk and the price includes a drink at the bar!

A day on the beach at El Campello in Spain on a hot sunny Sunday is something to look forward to if you stay in our apartment - Sunnyside Alfaz on the beautiful complex of Alfaz del Sol.

Things to see and do include the Torre Vigia de la Illeta, the Illeta dels Banyets which is an Archaeological Site with remains of Roman Baths, Farms and Temples. You can also enjoy the marina and the Playa del Carrere de la Mar with a string of restaurants and shops along the promenade 😎🌞⛱ A 33 min drive by car from the apartment or it is also accessible by tram. There is a tram station at Alfaz Del Pi, the village the apartment is located. ☺️

There are many stunning places to visit from Sunnyside Alfaz del Pi. If you choose to let our apartment there are many ancient and old religious buildings to see. There is also a stunning newer church we highly recommend.

After the ending of the Cold War, the coastal resort towns north of Alicante became popular with Russians, both ex-pats and vacation home holders. But until 2007, many of the Russians in the area didn’t have a suitable place to worship.

A Russian entrepreneur decided to change that, funding the construction of Spain’s first purpose-built Russian Orthodox Church.

This church was built in Altea.

The Church was named St Michael’s Russian Orthodox Church and is stunning both inside and out and well worth visiting. It is open to the public most day from 10.00am until 2.00 pm

As you would expect the church is sited near the millionaire development of Altea Hills

If you are a walker or a fan of wild swimming then if you stay in our apartment, Sunnyside Alfaz del pi on the complex of Alfaz del Sol then you must visit Les Fonts de Algar!

The Algar Waterfalls, located a short drive away from our apartment is one of the most beautiful places to visit. It is a picturesque nature reserve with spectacular scenery featuring water cascades, crystal clear pools, lush greenery and picnic spots. Your visit will take you on a 1.5km walk way meandering along the Algar River, which includes some stone steps and rocky pathways. There are plenty of viewpoints to stop and rest, fresh natural springs to take a dip, and areas to chill out with a picnic.

The pretty little town situated next to the waterfalls offers a lovely selection of traditional Spanish restaurants and souvenir.

If renting out our rental apartment in Spain is something you are thinking about then a visit up to the top of the old town in Altea Is a must.

Up there you will have amazing views and a plethora of high end eateries, many with glorious roof terraces.

One of our favourites is Carnicero Loco. By looking at these photos, you will understand why.

We have availability from Mid November through to Mid January. The apartment is then unavailable as it is let all the way through to Easter.

PLEASE SHARE

There are many beautiful walks in and around Albir and our favourite has to be the walk along the Sierra Helada Natural park to El Faro. The views are outstanding as you can see from these photos. This is the case at all times of the year, but it has to be said that they are most spectacular close to sunset in the winter months.

We have availability in our apartment in November and December. This is one of the walks you could go onto enjoy some Winter Sun, if you stayed in Sunnyside.

our apartment on Alfaz del Sol is so close to so many lovely places for you to visit if you let it for a holiday or short break.

We’ve already featured the 2 gorgeous beaches of Calpe but it also has a gorgeous little old town with rambling little streets filled with bars and eateries as these stunning photos show.

We are fully booked until the middle of November so if you fancy some winter sun then or even Christmas in Spain, send us a message.
