The Canary Islands were formed over centuries, eruption after eruption; wherever you look, you’ll find textures of layered rock that bear witness to almost every single explosion.
The magma, which plunged into the sea like an avalanche, quickly cooled and formed the famous reefs. But the oxygen bubbles trapped in the molten lava also fossilized, creating sharp, jagged, and hole-riddled rocks.
There’s no room for compromise: the only way to live in Fuerteventura is to accept the indifference this arid land shows toward us.
Here, you can truly feel the raw power of nature unleashing itself in the face of human smallness. Resisting it is impossible; accepting it and living in harmony is essential.
