Black sand in Tenerife ☀️. Tenerife is a volcanic island.
Its black sand was formed from crushed lava and basalt, shaped over thousands of years by the power of the ocean and wind.
It has a fine, sometimes subtly shimmering texture — very different from light, quartz-based sands.
Because of its mineral composition, it works as a natural exfoliant.
It contains elements such as magnesium, iron and silica.
Tiny traces of natural ocean oils can also be present,
