What is now the living room was once the ticket booth to the only cinema in town. The beautiful Moorish village of Comares is located a 45-minute drive east of Malaga. It is a lively village with a maze of (car-free) streets full of whitewashed houses and many restaurants with stunning location and breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. We totally agree with
her status of 'most beautiful village of Andalusia'. A small walk through the village of Comares brings you to the townhouse El Cine; here you get rewarded with spectacular views, a glass of cold water and a bottle of wine. This two story house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a cozy kitchen and a living room with spacious seating area and an additional sofa bed. You probably will spend a lot of time in the private courtyard either around the outdoor dining table or relaxing on the day bed. Location:
Historical facts of Comares’s Moorish legacy are depicted in plaques around the village and there is also the remains of an ancient castle situated metres away from the house. Comares offers a selection of bars and restaurants as well as a supermarket, bakery, banks, post office and tobacconist. For sporting enthusiasts there are climbing facilities on the cliff face as well as a zip-wire which, until recently, was the longest zip-wire in Spain.
